Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) - Developmental Educator/Family Support Worker

Northeast Kingdom Learning Services, Inc. (NEKLS) is looking for a Full-Time CIS Developmental Educator/Family Support Worker position in Orleans/Northern Essex. This individual will conduct home visits and provide center-based services for families with children age’s birth through six using a strengths-based model. This dual role will include Early Intervention visits for eligible children, birth to three, and their families, and direct support for families with children birth through six who need assistance and information about community services. This position provides appropriate parenting, health and safety education; helps families with a medical home identify their needs and stay connected to their resources; assures a network of support that provides basic safety for each child; and coordinates entitlements, housing, transportation and other basic needs such as food programs. The ideal candidate will have genuine consideration and respect for families and their children with special needs, and demonstrable experience with family strengths model delivery. He or she will be self-motivated, a team player and have the ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special or early education, physical, occupational or speech therapy, nursing, psychology, human services or related field is required. Candidate must receive EI Certification within 2 years of employment. A background check is required.
