Our NEKLS team at NFI's annual conference. We are taking a lunch break during Sandra Bloom's presentation on "Creating, Destroying and Restoring Sanctuary: Trauma-Informed Care, the Crisis in Human Service Delivery Systems and the Sanctuary Model". Lots of helpful information, and even more evidence that NEKLS is on the right path to addressing the human service needs in our community along the lines of the latest research. In August, NEKLS Children's Integrated Services (CIS) Early Intervention/ Family Suport participated in the St Johnsbury Preschool BBQ, providing information about developmental milestones, family support and Early Intervention resources. Children were able to participate in a fun scavenger hunt and local families were able to speak with staff about programs.
